Vienna
Throughout my life, I have resided in Vienna on multiple occasions. The first time was in the late Eighties when I had the opportunity to utilize the ceramic studio located in Alte Schmiede on Schoenlaterngasse in Vienna's first district. During this period, I focused on creating large handbuilt vessels, as detailed here.
My next stay in Vienna was in the Nineties, where I maintained a studio in Webgasse in the 6th district from 1988 to 1997, interrupted by a sholarship in Japan 1989-91. During this period, my primary focus shifted towards crafting hand built dishes and vases inspired by my studies in Japan.
Most recently, I lived in Vienna for a few years while head of ceramics studio at Angewandte Vienna, the local art university.
The different topics are described in more detail on the respective pages.
