Narrative objects before 2000
In 1987, I had the opportunity to utilize the ceramic studio at Alte Schmiede in Schoenlaterngasse, located in Vienna's 1st district, as an artist in residence. During this time, I created a series of large coil-built vessels that were specifically designed to fit into the kiln on site, which had a size limit of approximately 70cm. The vessels produced during this period included pieces with titles such as Greco Deco, Rose Vases, Fleur de Lis, Veiled Vessels, among others. Dietmar Steiner, who kindly penned a brief announcement for my exhibition in Visa Magazine, aptly referred to me as an "Uninhibited Eclectist” (“Hemmungslose Ekletizistin”) a title that resonated with me and effectively captured the essence of my work.
