Meingarten
Drawing inspiration from the renowned Austrian porcelain manufacture of Augarten and their beloved motif, the "Vienna Rose," I have incorporated this emblem into my designs, reimagining it as a tattoo adorning various pieces. In a daring twist, one vase features a "Baselitzoid", with the rose painted upside down reminiscent of Baselitz's style. Additionally, my cups and vases pay homage to the iconic Powolny tea set, honoring the legacy of Michael Powolny, an influential Austrian ceramicist closely associated with Augarten. The subtle echoes of Josef Hoffmann's aesthetic in some of my designs add an unexpected layer of artistic depth, despite not being a deliberate influence.
