Linz

I spent time in Linz from 1971 to 1984, with breaks in Denmark for studio practice (1974/75) and Amsterdam (1980/81) for a sholarship. I found my practice in Denmark intriguing due to its location in a farmhouse in the countryside, run by a ceramicist whose husband had transitioned from a nuclear physicist to a swine farmer.

In Linz, I studied at the ceramic department of the art university - Kunstuniversität Linz - 1973 to 1978 before establishing my own first studio in Linz. After my time in Holland, I became myself a teacher of mold-making at the art university's ceramic department from 1982 to 1984, before leaving for San Francisco, eager for new experiences, my envisioned dream destination as a child of the Sixties.
