Time for Tea
In my years of experience working with teapots, I have encountered one of the most significant challenges in ceramic design: balancing high aesthetic standards with optimal functionality. The journey to refining my current models has been marked by numerous prototypes. During my time in Japan, I gained an appreciation for the side handle design of the "Kyusu," which I have since incorporated into all my teapots, also for a left handed version.
Utilizing Rhino 3D, the "Kyusu" was carefully crafted, featuring functional elements such as a teabag notch and a lid lock, alongside a special upside down firing process where all objects, including milk, sugar, and cups, are glazed on the bottom.
