Martina Zwölfer

One of my most varied forms of vases is the „Ovalvase“. It was initially formed from slabs of clay, only in 2001 did I develop cast porcelain variations. I then designed oval vases in glass, manufactured and handcut in glass works in Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria. „Soft“ and most recently the three-leaf Trefoglie vase have been added in the last few years. Made of clay, porcelain or glass using different techniques, from traditional handicrafts to the use of advanced computer programs, they show up in numerous series, prototypes and originals over and again in new clothes.

WIREFRAMES In addition to historical influences the digitalization of design has enriched the process on the tool level as well as a source of stylistic innovation. Thus, these glass vases take wireframe design technology at its word and declare the network of auxiliary lines to motif.
